I’ve since sent a further email and yet to receive an actual human reply. Not even an acknowledgment of my initial email - They did however address me by my name but I’m sure there is a computer algorithm which does this for them. After a couple of days I receive an automated email from anytime fitness Chorley stating that they are sorry to see me leave and that my membership would be cancelled next month….nothing else and no answer to my concerns.
I’m not asking for a sign up fee to be refunded or even an apology…I get that these general admin tasks aren’t always as simple as they seem.

I get that we must always look out for suspicious outgoings but when your a new father, full time worker and have god knows how many other outgoings it’s not something that you tend to look out for or notice…or maybe it is? Anyway I’ve sent a polite email explaining the situation and requested that the money is refunded which I believe is fair. I noticed recently that I’ve still been paying for the anytime fitness membership. It did also advise not to cancel my Direct debit. I was told this would be actioned asap - I thought if there was any concerns or issues they’d surly get back in touch. I completed the form which was easy to do and took less than 5 mins…I guess this is worth 1 star. I visited the website and it explained that I needed to complete and send a cancellation form. I did not attend the gym once or request a door pin code as the cancellation was almost immediately after signing up. So I signed up to ‘anytime fitness Chorley’ back in November 2021 however due to a gym opening in work that same week I sent a cancellation request. I wish I had read reviews for this gym before signing up. CHORLEY ANYTIME FITNESS: ignored my cancellation request and continued charging me
